Viviene Barr has been an AMTA Member since 2016. She was born in Guyana, South America and moved to America when she was a young child. Viviene has always enjoyed being in the position to help others. Though the desire to be a therapist came later in life she enjoyed reading books about how to heal yourself. This desire to teach herself new things and learn self-care introduced her to massage, acupressure, color therapy, trigger point therapy, oils, herbs, cupping and more. Much of what she learned she was able to use to help her friends and family. With the satisfaction of helping others, she finally chose to further her education and study massage at American Institute in Clifton New Jersey. The ability to know that you can help someone by a touch has brought her joy that she never gets tired of when she sees the faces of the clients after a session. When Viviene is not working she enjoys spending time with family and friends enjoying a good dinner and a movie. Email AMTA NJ Chapter Board Member at: boardmember1@amtanj.org |
