Licensing

 IMPORTANT NOTICE

All NJ Massage and Bodywork Therapy Licenses MUST BE RENEWED by NOVEMBER 30, 2014

The NJ State Licensure Board will send a notice of renewal to each licensee at least 60 days prior to the expiration of the license. If you fail to renew your license within 30 days after the expiration date, your license shall be administratively suspended without a hearing.

For licensure renewal, the following are required:
1. You are currently certified in CPR and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
2. You have completed the required 20 credit hours of continuing education related to the practice of massage and bodywork therapy. These 20 credit hours shall include at least two hours in ethics. Business courses do not satisfy these education credit requirements. You are limited to completing a total of six credit hours through courses presented on-line or through DVDs.

If you received your license in 2014, you are required to complete 10 credit hours of continuing education, with at least two hours in ethics.

If you have completed more than the required CEs, only 18 of the additional credit hours can be carried into a succeeding biennial period.
